Summary

A modern Chinese runner rug, in a Turkish style, with deep pile and decorated with seven lozenge shaped medallions, each with four flowerheads inside, on a blue ground, within green and yellow stars in a grey border. Displayed face down, so the weave is visible and it resembles a kelim more.

Provenance

Bequeathed to the National Trust by Khadambi Asalache upon his death in 2006; acquired fully in November 2010.
