Summary
A printed reproduction of a book plate, later coloured with watercolour ink, mounted within a gilded border and a mahogany frame, glazed. Plate depicting African figures carrying two colonial gentlemen. The reverse papered with red and cream fleur-de lis pattern paper. With single speck of white paint to the underside of the frame.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust by Khadambi Asalache upon his death in 2006; acquired fully in November 2010.
