Summary
A sterling silver clad glass inkwell. Of conical form with a flared rim around the sunken well with a brass circular base, with two bands of reeding around the base.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust by Khadambi Asalache upon his death in 2006; acquired fully in November 2010.
Marks and inscriptions
On body.: Bearing silver hallmarks of a lion and three further faint marks, one possibly indicating a Chester silversmith.
