Summary
Letter from Hannah Greg and Samuel Greg to Bessy (Elizabeth) Greg, c/o John Pares Esq, Leicester, dated 1st June1800, written from Quarry Bank writing that they are very pleased with her behaviour but they would like her to write more often. She is sorry to hear of Cousin Mary's headaches and urges Bessy to wait on her or read to her. Mentions a long letter from Eliza to the Grandmamma. Samuel has added a message for his daughter at the end of Hannah's letter in which he says how pleased he is with his daughter's behaviour and that she may accept the bank note given to her by her uncle [John Pares] which he supposes was part of the first money issued by the New Bank in which her uncle is a partner. Mentions a Mrs Dobson has arrived who is stout and good humoured and Hannah is pleased with her, and she has got an "old deaf inconvenient woman" to take care of the house in town. Mentions that the house (Quarry Bank) is not yet quite in order but in time they hope to finish and hope their patience will last out.
