Summary
A collection of recipes compiled by Elizabeth Mary Greg, wrapped in brown paper and labelled in ink 'Cooking Receipts' with a purple ribbon from Elliston & Cavell Ltd, Oxford's Fashionable Shopping Centre'. The recipes are handwritten and cuttings from magazines and some were collected during her Grand Tour in 1899-1900. The recipes are for making a Canadian dessert, American butter and sugar sauce, bunloaf, spinach, French beans, egg cutlets, omelette, Dutch sauce, mayonnaise, burnt cream, kedgeree, fillets of rabbit, soup, pea soup, rice cream, loin of mutton, Irish stew, orange jelly, winter salad, orange pudding, treacle pudding, cold rice, haddock balls and hatched pudding.
