Summary

Illuminated address in gold frame presented to Mrs Greg and family, Norcliffe by the members of the committee acting for and on behalf of the subscribing tenantry and employees of the Styal and Reddish Estates and the employees at the Quarry Bank and Albert Mills expressing their sympathy on the death of Robert Hyde Greg, dated 17th July 1875. Signed by teach of he Styal members James Kinsey (chairman), Thomas Henshall snr (treasurer), Thomas Tonge (secretary), Alexander McLaren, Joseph Tonge, James Moss, John Hewitt, William Pearson, Jonathan Barrow, James Scotson, Thomas Hewitt, James Renshaw, James Hope. Also signed by the Reddish members Thomas Reynolds (chairman), Charles Parker (treasurer), Rich Koper, John Barnshaw, Timothy Bancroft, John Place, John Brinsley, John Allen, Henry Jones, William Potts, Stopford Worthington and George Hemmings.
