Summary
Plan showing a design for the Gas Works. The drawing shows at the top an elevation of a building presumably used to house the works, and below is a plan/section of the same building containing the gas works. The drawing appears to be produced solely in ink. At the top right hand corner of the plan there is a block of text reading 'Design for Gas Works, Messrs S. Greg and Company, Quarry Bank, Scale 1/4 of an inch-1 foot, E.H.Greg'. On the back of the plan there is a label reading 'Design for Gas Works 97' and the back of the plan is also labelled in red ink 'Gas'. This plan was priced up, but at that time the Gregs decided that a gas plant would be too expensive.
