Summary
A handwritten transcript of William Robert Spencer's poem, 'Too Late I Stayed' which was first published in 1811. William Robert Spencer 1770 to 1834 was the second son of Lord Charles Spencer, he was a noted wit and poet. It is possible that the handwriting belongs to Hannah Greg. On the reverse is a verse comparing the mail coachman to a bard and another verse about a new born child.
