Summary
Number five of a set of six photographs which are part of a large collection of thirty two photographs of aspects of Venice and Florence of which six are numbered with Roman numerals and the rest with lower case letters. This photograph is of the Porta del Carta, the grand ceremonial entrance to the Venetian Gothic Doge's Palace in Venice, the entrance was built for Doge Foscari by the brothers Giovanni and Bartolomeo Buon between 1438 and 1442.
