Summary
A large travelling case with domed lid, made of wicker and covered with black-painted cloth. There is a leather handle on each side, leather reinforced corners and edges and two leather loops on the back for holding straps that would go all round the case. The interior is lined with linen and at each corner is a bar of wicker covered in cloth to form a ledge on which rests a removable wicker framework for separating clothes. On the lid is written in white 'M. B. G.', and the labels on the sides read '...Greig', 'G' and 'London and N.Eastern Railway 'delivered luggage' label 'from Scarborough'.
