Summary
A box for Royal Irish linen paper, for letter writing, which now contains letters, poems and notes possibly for speeches and other similar literary items written by Ernest William Greg. The box body is mid turquoise / blue, with a royal blue edging around the top of the lid. On the top is the makers name on a decorative panel with a crest and a scalloped edging. The label is in blue, gold, white and green, the crest is of the rampant lion and unicorn, showing the manufacturers - Marcus Ward and Co. London. On the bottom edge of the box lid is a further label with makers name and crest - colour of paper 'azure' and mill number '251' and London and Royal Ulster Works - Belfast. On the bottom, in pencil, 'Wslt'(?) (this is illegible)
