Summary
Lute marked "Marx Unverdorben in Venetia" Theorboed by Gabriel David Buchstetter, Regensburg, 1747, who extended neck and made alterations to accommodate 13 courses of strings (probably previously 8). Carved rose in stringboard. No strings. Body of exotic wood. c. 1580. Restored 1979 and stringboard left detached.
