Summary

A mahogany and satinwood crossbanded work table, English, circa 1800, inlaid to the front and sides with satinwood stringing, two frieze drawers to the front, each drawer with two chased brass knocks, a slide panel to the underside which can be fitted with a work bag (the original yellow silk work bag absent), on four turned legs united by turned cross stretchers.

Provenance

Bequeathed by Lady Katherine Binning (1871-1952) with Fenton House in 1952.
