Summary
A mahogany lyre-back chair, one of a set of eight, English, early 19th century, the top rail inlaid with a brass rectangle, the two uprights and lower back rail reeded, the top and lower back rail united by a pierced lyre, the strings inlaid with brass, on turned tapering front legs and outswept square-section rear legs, the overstuffed seat upholstered in brass-nailed brown horsehair.
