Summary
An hexagonal vase and cover, the well-defined blue-scale ground with two gilt shaped ogival cartouches, one with a woman seated and leaning against a pedestal, the other with a man playing a lyre, each among flowering shrubs and plants with exotic birds and resting on a gilt and pink scroll rocaille half-cartouche, flanked by cartouches of birds and insects, the neck and cover with similar reserves of birds and insects. Mark, blue square seal.
