Print from Arthur Onslow's (1691-1768) bookplate with family motto: Festina Lente, meaning 'Make Haste Slowly'. Designed by William Kent, painter, sculptor, architect and landscape-gardener, engraved by B. Cole. Original copper bookplate is in the Clandon collection (1441307).
