Summary
[Saved] Album bound in black leather with marbled endpapers. Contains autographs, poems, drawings, and photographs. Also accompanied by 16 loose photographs and postcards, and a small envelope containing 3 negatives and a print. This autograph book / album was owned by Helen Mary DuBuisson, known as May DuBuisson (married name Twining), who was a Voluntary Aid Detachment (VAD) nurse at Clandon Park when it was a Red Cross military hospital during the First World War. Nurse DuBuisson, along with other nurses, including VAD Amy Bates (see object 1441745), collected their soldier patients autographs and photographs. As in this case, these are sometimes accompanied by sketches, carictures, jokes and poetry.
