Summary
[Salvaged] One of two gilt metal hexagonal lanterns, presumably Venetian, with gold tops, surmounted by figures of children holding the flag of St. Mark, and supported by carved ebony wall brackets in the form of an arm with draped upper parts. Fixed to the east wall of the Marble Hall, positioned either side of the door to the Saloon.

Marked in Lady Iveagh’s 1966 Inventory, p3; Accepted by the Treasury in lieu of Estate Duty on the death of Lady Iveagh in 1968 and transferred to the National Trust (1968 Schedule B)
