Summary
[Destroyed in the fire of 2015] One of a pair of Adam torcheres (torchère) on triangular bases with three tapering supports surmounted by rams' heads, terminating in hoof feet, the central support decorated with intertwined dark green snakes; the whole surmounted by three light candelabra with scroll arms rising from acanthus foliage with stylised central sweetcorn and chains with acorns.

Purchased by the Ministry of Public Building and Works in 1963 from the 6th Earl, transferred to the National Trust in 1977
