Summary
[Destroyed in the fire of 2015] Louis XV cylinder desk in various woods inlaid with trellis pattern panels, scrolls, florettes and urn of flowers; the top with pierced ormolu gallery and three drawers; interior with pull out writing slide and four drawers; in the frieze a central drawer and a pair of drawers; two end pull out leather covered slides.
Provenance
Purchased by the Ministry of Public Building and Works in 1963 from the 6th Earl, transferred to the National Trust in 1977
