Summary
[Salvaged] A Regency style bureau-plat with inlaid tooled leather top bordered by cross-banded rosewood and harewood, the edges mounted in ormolu of foliage and tongue pattern; fitted three frieze drawers with ormolu mask furniture; on cabriole supports, heavily mounted with lion masks, pendent bell-flowers and foliage, terminating in scroll toes.

Purchased by the Ministry of Public Building and Works in 1963 from the 6th Earl, transferred to the National Trust in 1977
