Summary
Autograph letter written by Sir William Ross (1749-1860) from Tyntesfield whilst he was working on the miniature portraits of the Gibbs family. The letter is written on a folded sheet of paper, is titled and dated; Tyntesfield Nr. Bristol / Aug 13.1849. Ross describes himself in the letter as being; in the character / of an Itinerant Artist with / kind friends. He describes how much he enjoys being entertained and paid for his work and goes on to say; and for / what - for annoying people by / making them sit still for 14 or 16 / hours. The letter is signed; W. C. Ross.
