Summary
State bed. Neo-Norman oak four poster state bed. The tester surmounted by an arcaded cresting of 3 carved arches to each side. The foot posts carved with spiral reeding on square bulbous base. The shaped footboard with 3 tiers of heavy carving comprising a symmetrical leaf design above a chevron/dogtooth band, above vermiculated bottom tier. The headboard of 2 tiers of 4 round arches of 2 designs. A vaulted interior of tester with intersecting bands of balls applied of scrolled design. Bed hangings removed to store 1991 and replaced with blue/silver Lampas. (Tex.Cat.T/190 and T/151).
