Summary
A mid-Victorian oak wardrobe from the Oratory, possibly made by James Plucknett, the doors possibly by J.G. Grace. A rectangular cushion-moulded cornice above a reeded frieze and pair of linen-fold and rope twist carved panelled doors. In the interior is a brass hanging rail and coat hooks, between chamfered column uprights surmounted by square canted finials. It stands on chamfered square legs with shaped brackets and the door hinges are steel. Tied on label states that the piece is a unique item and does not form part of a suite of furniture.
