Summary
A figured mahogany and rosewood-banded Davenport, English, circa 1840. The sliding top with three-quarter gallery and leather writing slope, to one side a long pen drawer and a pull-out slide above a door opening to six small drawers and open shelves, the front flame-veneered and with ebonised line inlay, flanked by projecting columns with brass mounts, standing on bun feet with sunken castors.
