Summary
Box 119 and Box 133. A two-piece dress, with a bodice and skirt. A black satin dress of trimmed net, plain and pleated and needlelace passementerie. The bodice is in the process of being altered, with the sleeves removed, neck left. The skirt is slightly trained with a wide panel of passementerie down the front and heavy pleats at the back. The waistband - Jane Worth, Grafton Street. c.1905. Silk, satin, cotton and metal fastenings and boning. The skirt is in Box 119, the bodice is in Box 133. FEL72C.
Provenance
Part of the Windham Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1969 by Robert Wyndham Ketton-Cremer (1906-1969).
