Summary
FEL58c. A page's livery coat. Handmade tail-coat, in dark blue doeskin, piped with scarlet, lined scarlet twill wool. Stand collar with star button on shoulder line. 5 large brass buttons with crest, both buttons and buttonholes sham. Edge to edge fastening with 2 hooks and eyes. Mariner cuffs with 3 buttons. Sham pocket flaps above tails with 3 buttons. Pocket inner side of each tail. Pleat in tails with button. c.1840. Poss belonged to William Frederick (Mad) Windham. See p.247 in 'Felbrigg'.
