Summary
Alabaster, The Apolloino, Italian School, after the antique, 19th century. A reduced figurine carved of alabaster, depicting the Apollino or Medici Apollo after the antique (Ufizzi, Florence). Paired with NT 1401984, a reduced figurine of the Venus Italica after Canova. Mounted on a fluted columnar pedestal.
Provenance
Part of the Windham Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1969 by Robert Wyndham Ketton-Cremer (1906-1969)
