Summary
Painted unfired clay, a seated female figure, one of a pair of modelled clay figures, painted, depicting a seated Chinese lady and gentleman, with nodding heads, both in formal red robes, unidentified artist or workshop, probably Guangzhou (Canton), second half of the 18th century or early 19th century.
Provenance
Part of the Windham Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1969 by Robert Wyndham Ketton-Cremer (1906-1969)
