Portrait miniature, watercolour painting on ivory, Lady Sophia Elizabeth Caroline Hervey, Lady Sophia Windham (1811-1863), British (English) School. 1840-1845. Rectangular. Half-length portrait of a young woman, seated on a red chaise, turned slightly to the left, gazing at the spectator, her left arm visible, wearing a black silk off-the-shoulder dress with short puffed sleeves topped with lace and edged with lace and tied with white satin bows. She has short tightly ringletted brown hair. She has a gold bracelet on her left arm and a diamond jewel at her bosom.
