Summary
A hand-held fire-screen. One of a pair. Embossed painted beige card with a border design incorporating Prince-of-Wales three feathers, shell, oak leaves and acorn motifs, set on a turned giltwood handle. Shaped centre panel with monochrome watercolour scene of castle in lake. Paper backing of gilt, red and white tendrils.
Provenance
Part of the Windham Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1969 by Robert Wyndham Ketton-Cremer (1906-1969)
