Summary

A funerary gold ring or mourning ring with black jet inlay. Engraved inscription 'Susa Kitton Ob 24 Aug 1809 Ae 68'. Note 'John Kitton (Ketton) 1808-1872 was 1 year old when Susan Kitton died'.

Provenance

Part of the Windham Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1969 by Robert Wyndham Ketton-Cremer (1906-1969)
