Summary
8 day American dial clock in oak case, signed 'Hughes and Bailey, Sheringham', c.1900. Single train, 4 pillar movement with anchor escapement. Circular white-painted dial with roman numerals. Signed in dial centre 'Hughes and Bailey, Sheringham', and 'Trademark', 'A'. Steel 'spade and poker' hands. Plain circular oak dial clock case, with door at bottom. Pressed brass bezel with flat glass. The clock was made by the Ansonia Clock Company of New York.
Provenance
Part of the Windham Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1969 by Robert Wyndham Ketton-Cremer (1906-1969)
