Summary
Wooden desk tidy. Ebonised. Top with various recesses for pens, seals and inkwell. Handle missing. Pull-out drawer below with round metal knob. Contents - square glass inkwell with round metal hinged lid; 2 impressions of seals - 1 black of a bishop's mitre and inscribed 'September 3rd 1805', and 1 red 'In Confidence'; 4 lengths of sealing wax - 1 black, 1 red, and 2 dark red; metal container for medium refill leads for Mordan quality pencils; various nibbed pens and 2 paintbrushes; a propelling pencil 'Gem - Swan Pencil Co, Bavaria' with very thick lead and ?early plastic handle.
