Summary
A green Japanned display case or cabinet, English, circa 1920. The top section with a molded cornice and arched frieze with a recess having three shaped shelves, the lower section with a pair of paneled cupboard doors and raised on bracket feet. The whole decorated with chinoiserie scenes of figures and pagodas in landscapes and with flowers and trellis borders. Mid-18th Century style.
Provenance
Part of the Windham Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1969 by Robert Wyndham Ketton-Cremer (1906-1969).
