Summary
An oak and deal breakfront bookcase, English, circa 1990 by Dan Windham of Wymondham With a deep molded cornice and band frieze above three pair of glazed cupboard doors, the lower section with three pairs of paneled cupboard doors, raised on a plinth base. This bookcase and the other bookcases and display cabinets in The Book Room were designed by John Bedford and made by Daniel Windham. This set of furniture was commissioned by the National Trust to house what was left of the last squire's working library, most of which now forms the Ketton-Cremer Collection at the University of East Anglia.
