Summary
A rosewood and specimen stone inlaid pedestal table, English, circa 1820 The rectangular top inlaid with a geometric design of specimen marble, alabaster and travertine squares within a rosewood border and a paneled frieze below, the corners with applied flower head rosettes and carved drop pendants. The paneled tapered square section pedestal applied with beaded moldings joining a concave quatrefoil plinth with scroll carved terminals and raised on carved bun feet.
Provenance
Part of the Windham Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1969 by Robert Wyndham Ketton-Cremer (1906-1909).
