Summary
One of three heavy oak door cases and doors, with gothic carved pediments. There is a carved lion in a chained fetterlock device above the door. It was installed by William Howe Windham in 1842, using architects G. and J.C. Buckler. This is the East door, leading to the Morning Room.
Provenance
Part of the Windham Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1969 by Robert Wyndham Ketton-Cremer (1906-1969)
