Print, line engraving, Saint Cecilia (after Raphael) by Urbain Massard (Paris 1775 - Viry-Châtillon 1843). St Cecilia with musical instrutments at her feet is flanked by four figures as she looks to heaven, where angels sit amongst clouds. Text below 'Saint Cecile Dedie Sa Majestie Imperiale et Roy Marie Louise Archiduchesse d'Autriche'. From an original in the Napoleon Museum. Plain gilt frame, glazed.
Provenance
Part of the Windham Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1969 by Robert Wyndham Ketton-Cremer (1906-1969).
