Summary
Watercolour heightened with white on paper, Matilda Blanche Crawley-Boevey, Mrs William Gibbs (1817-1887). Portrait of a lady, head and shoulders, indistinctly signed and dated in pencil, 1859. Possibly by J. de Cazenave who did portraits of her children (including Henry Martin) in 1859 (S.Hayward, Curator) Stained. Back has hanging ring on top edge, foxing on paper; marked in pencil script, Matilda Blanche Gibbs / (Mrs William Gibbs).
