Summary
Uppark after the fire of 30.8.89 from the entrance of the south front. Survey team interpret the ground floor. By Leslie Worth, RWS, RBA, b. 1923. Signed and dated 3.9.89. 'The charcoal used was from the burnt timbers of the house' (Artist's quote). Mounted, glazed and in plain wood frame. One of 34 pictures commissioned by the National Trust's Foundation for Art. 'The Broad Horizon' 1990. Previously on show at Petworth in August 1998.
