Summary
Doll's House. Made in 1903 by Mr. Blackmore, Gardener at Uppark, for Beatrice, who was the daughter of the then owners of Uppark, Col. and Mrs. Turnour-Fetherstonhaugh. It was sturdily constructed to withstand the elements in order for it to be played with outdoors. In 1946 Beatrice gave the Doll's House back to Mr. Blackmore for his grand-daughters to play with in their garden. Beatrice continued sending furniture for some years and the house was well cared for by the little girls' father. It has now been given back to Uppark for permanent display (1989) by Mrs. Blackmore.
