Summary
A modern copy of an English pier glass, c.1750. Chippendale period rectangular bevelled plated wall glass in a giltwood frame exuberantly carved with scrolls, foliage, shells and other rococo motifs, the sides centred by vividly portrayed writhing dragons, the top centred by a foliated cartouche.
Full description
En suite with side table 137653 in Red Drawing Room. The original mirror 137670 was destroyed in the fire at Uppark on 30 August 1989. This copy was made by Alan Lamb and installed at Uppark in 1997. Lady Morrison Scott paid for repair. Mirror glass is tin-mercury amalgam
