Summary
Baby's carrying cape. Cream wool (cashmere) lined with fine cream silk and cotton. The cape is made from two layered pieces, the longest part tuckedat the top edge and mounted onto a curved band to fit shoulder line. The cape is bordered with quilted satin corners and machine sitiched with a feather design. The top layer is similarly bordered. Edges are cut in a zig-zag shape. Hem trimmed with gold silk fringe. Collar of quilted satin, edged with gold silk fringe to match. Corded silk ribbon ties at neck.
