Summary
Baby's carrying cape. Cream wool made from four sections, cut as roughly one quarter of a circle, with shorter cape and turn-down collar. Decorated with floral spray embroidered in cream mercerised cotton thread in satin stitch. Hemlines and collar trimmed with a deep flounce of eyelet embroidery in silky cream thread on fine woollen cloth (nun's veiling). Overcape lined with white twilled cotton, faced with white silk. Seams are machine stitched with hand finished linings, hand embroidery and no fastenings.
