Summary
Cape - Part of a child's outfit, dress and cape for a child aged 3-4. White cotton pique cape cut in semi-circle with small semi-circle cut out for neck, trimmed around edges and on turn down collar as skirt of dress with tufted braid along outer edges. Fastens with singlebone button with brass shank and worked thread loop. Appears to be (mainly) hand stitched.
Provenance
This garment has been in the collection pre-1993. Found in store unaccessioned, label removed for cleaning? Probably made for a small boy.
