Summary
Full-length nightdress with short sleeves and shallow V-neckline, sleeves and hem have scalloped edge. Soft peach coloured satin rayon crepe, pin-tucks at front waist conceal self fabric tie belt fastening at centre back. Top right embroidered by hand with mercerised cotton threads in lilac, turquoise, pink, blue, yellow and beige with bow and floral spray motif; using purl stitch, french knots and straight stitches. Top left decorated with four rows of faggotting from neckline. Eight rows of pin-tucking from left shoulder seam. Neckline trimmed with beige lingerie lace; neckline, sleeves and hem finished with narrow scalloped machine lace to match. The entire garment is hand-stitched.
