Summary

Part of wedding dress and accessories; Wedding dress - Ivory silk, below the knee length. Round neck with chiffon collar. Front vertical band of pleated chiffon, lace edged with central row of brilliants. Mock silk belt and skirt gathered on just underneath it. Long sleeves and cuffs lace edged. 1928

Provenance

Belonged to mother, Elsie Grimsey (1906-1974), who married Edward Daldrey (1902 -1970) in 1928 at Copdock, Suffolk. Edward was a herdsman, one of thirteen children, and Elsie worked in a market garden.
