Afternoon dress of silvery green (eau-de-nil) rayon grosgrain; blouse -style bodice with turned down collar and sharply-angled lapels, angled double breasted front with three buttons, cap sleeves with underarm gusset, zip fastening to left side, slanted hip pockets, two panel bias-cut flared skirt. 'Auerbach' model dress, purchased at Marshall and Snelgrove, London, Spring 1950. 1950 (circa)
