Summary
Full-length coat of black corded silk, princess cut with ruff collar, attached sash belt, long narrow sleeves with wider wrists, the collar bodice and cuffs heavily decorated with cream lace and ruched black mousselaine de sie. Edge to edge front opening fastened with hooks and eyes. Unlined. Made by Lewis and Allenby, Regent St and Conduit Street, London. 1898 - 1899 (circa)
